Sutton is proud of its “greener borough” status. It has 41 primary schools, 14 secondary schools, 3 special schools and 2 pupil referral units. The borough currently has three children’s centres with plans to increase to ten by 2009.School Improvement in Sutton comprises the following services: Advice and Inspection; Attendance; Behaviour; Inclusion Support; Traveller Education; Ethnic Minority Achievement; Sutton Music Service; the Education Business Partnership.
The grouping of these services together under the Executive Head of School Improvement facilitates an integrated approach to school improvement.
